Emerson Announces New Venture Leadership Appointments


Tim Ferry Named President of InSinkErator® Chad Severson Assumes Role as President of Emerson Instrument Co.


ST.LOUIS -- Emerson (NYSE: EMR) right now introduced the appointment of Tim Ferry as President of its InSinkErator corporation, the foremost maker of food waste disposers and fast warm h2o dispensers, headquartered in Racine, Wisconsin. Ferry had been president of Emerson Tool Co. Changing Ferry as the new president of Emerson Device Co. will be Chad Severson, who formerly served as president of Emerson’s Knaack industry.


Ferry succeeds Jerry Ryder, whose 35 decades in advertising and marketing and management with Emerson integrated sixteen several years as InSinkErator president. He will serve in a new part as chairman of the business before retiring from InSinkErator at the end of 2011.


Emerson Chairman and CEO David N. Farr praised Ferry and Severson for their nearly all ages of industry expertise and past leadership contributions to Emerson.

Ferry began his career at Emerson in 1988 as a marketing manager with the distinctive goods unit and held quite a few sales and promoting positions, ultimately getting to be vice president. In 1996, he was named vice president and basic manager for Emerson Device Co,. and in 2002 was appointed president.


He retains a BA in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.


Severson commenced his vocation at Emerson in 1992 as a manager in marketplace analysis for Copeland Corporation, in which he in due course became VP of marketing. Severson left Emerson for a few decades to serve in various sales and profits and internet marketing positions with Kohler Co, and returned to Emerson in 2005 as Knaack’s vice president of promoting and item development. In 2006 he was appointed president of Knaack.


Severson received his BS in management from the US Air Force Academy, and he retains an MBA from the Ohio State University.
